PUM PUM

Global DJ, producer, and actor Dimitri Vegas continues to combine the worlds of music and cinema with “Pum Pum”, an ambitious new music video created alongside David Guetta and Loreen, directed by Joyrider’s acclaimed Irish filmmaker Ruairí Robinson (The Last Days on Mars) and executive produced by visionary filmmaker Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium).

The project merges the pulse of electronic music with the emotional scope of film, achieving large-scale world-building and cinematic storytelling through innovative production techniques and next-generation visual design.

Set in a collapsing futuristic city, “Pum Pum” follows Loreen as an android confronting her own transformation while pursued through chaos and fire. Dimitri Vegas and David Guetta appear as twin forces within the narrative, leading to a climactic confrontation that fuses performance, emotion, and visual spectacle.

“When I first heard the song, the first spark of the idea was an epic post- apocalyptic motorbike race, then I threaded in a Kill Bill-style revenge story and cranked everything up to ridiculous levels: revenge, robots and epic action” says Ruairí Robinson.

Executive producer Neill Blomkamp adds, “Artists like Dimitri are opening a new space where storytelling, music, and visual innovation collide. It’s a glimpse of how cinematic language will evolve in the music world.”
