Rednex is mostly famous for the hits Cotton Eye Joe, Old Pop in an Oak, Wish You Were Here and Spirit of the Hawk, which all sold double platinum in Germany. The total number of weeks at No.1 at the German singles chart is 25, which is the highest by any artist in the past 40 years.

Rednex is also the only artist who has performed 4 times at the most viewed show in Germany, the New Year's celebration at Brandenburger Tor in front of 1,5 million viewers.

The band, which has evolved from a permanent band to a pool of performers, are usually touring and has of today made 1000+ gigs on all six continents. On Spotify and You Tube combined 4 Rednex songs are played every second by 400.000 subscribers.

Rednex was founded in Sweden but is now an international project with performers and producers from many countries.

The Anthem 580K remix of Nowhere In Idaho was the winner of a remix competition. It is remixed by the new producer talent Jerry Nandi.
