I can say it over and over again. But it's just the bitter truth. EDM died in the end of 2015. Nowadays there is no longer any good and proper music. The origin of electronic music is no longer there. Existence just died out. Maybe it will really come again soon and there will be a new genre for 2 years or so, which brings back the old days of edm.

This commment is unpublished.You can say whatever you want, because it's your opinion, but it's not the ultimate truth. Music changes. Society changes. Technology changes. All the time. These days more rapidly than ever before. And guess what: It'll never be the same as it was some years ago. Any genre will eventually (have to) change or die. I myself would like to go back into "my personal" golden years of music but they're passed. And this range of years would be just from my perspective. But I can relisten to these songs anytime I want. I believe that there are several reasons why you like the music of your youth more. Nostalgia. Because you had more time and listened to it more often. Because everything was new and exciting. They are connected with good memories. After a while, you're simply listening to the 100th or 500th or 1000th version of an e.g. EDM track and it is almost impossible to create the next classic or deliver something really innovative. Nowadays I have to dig hard to find new or new old songs. Those tracks linked in the article are not my cup of tea at all, they are decent or mildly entertaining at best. Fortunately usually nobody forces me to listen to them. This year you have slap bass, next year you’ll have some other variety of any past EDM genre. There are no new genres; there are just new versions or mixtures of past genres. Everything is inspired by something from the past.
Others would say EDM died end of the 90s, later, earlier or whatever year. Many would say EDM was never any good because genre X is the best music. Of course there is still good music for anybody out there, new or old. It's just hidden. The higher your demands are, the harder it will be to find music that you consider good. And even if there wasn't much new good music, nowadays it's easier than ever to go back in time to check out ever past year, decade, genre and artist. Don't limit yourself to just EDM. I listen to many genres, artists and decades. I try to select the best music from all the genres. After 25 years of active and mostly excessive listening to music, I would have enough music even if there wasn’t any new release ever again.- {"set":null,"list":{"2":0,"4":1}}
